Why a written address isn’t enough
Addresses in Amman usually rely on roundabout names, districts and landmarks, and a description locals understand means little to a driver from outside the city. An exact location solves two problems: it brings the driver straight there, and it lets us check the street’s gradient and width before loading, not on arrival.

In some steep districts we unload at a nearby point where the large truck can stop safely, then move the goods in a smaller vehicle to the door. It adds cost, but it is far better than a stuck truck or risky unloading on a slope, and it is stated in the quote in advance.
